The Alliance is a student-led sub-section of the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking. We rally students from middle and high schools around the Bay Area to fight human trafficking through collaboration, education, outreach and awareness raising, advocacy, and supporting the survivors of human trafficking. A second year in a row, we participated in the Public Comments Day of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to present our comments requesting City funding and support for the 24/7 Human Trafficking Hotline for survivors and community operated by NCJW San Francisco in collaboration with SFCAHT. Koret Auditorium San Francisco Main Public Library At the closing of the 14th Annual Awareness Campaign of SFCAHT, we helped to organize and present for the inspiring 2024 teen summit. Students from across the Bay Area performed and shared experiences in anti-trafficking advocacy. We spoke about the work of the SFCAHT Student Alliance and invited attendees to join our team. Students learned how to help the anti-trafficking movement locally and help create awareness of human trafficking in their own schools and communities. STUDENT ALLIANCE'S ART FAIR

Medicine for Nightmares Bookstore & Gallery, San Francisco Our art fair aimed to raise awareness and funds for the hotline for survivors of human trafficking, featuring art workshops, literature activities, a silent bid, and educational resources. The event engaged families and community members, with initiatives including live printing workshops, art sales, and a variety of engaging activities. Kickoff of the 2024 Anti-Human Trafficking Month and Awareness Campaign January 5, 2024
Milton Marks Conference Center, California State Building, San Francisco We help to organize and present the annual press conference of SFCAHT with top law enforcement and government officials, survivors, leading anti-trafficking advocates and members of the press. Human Trafficking and the Pursuit of Justice November 3, 2023
Milton Marks Conference Center, California State Building, San Francisco We helped organize and present a full day conference with law enforcement agencies, businesses, survivors, service providers, and volunteers to explore the complex aspects of the pursuit of justice in the work on prosecuting and preventing human trafficking and protecting the survivors. We helped staff the conference and participated in its breakouts. Together with the other participants, we learned about effective partnerships and innovative programs in the field and exchanged experience and networks. |
