General Meeting
SFCAHT

May 15, 2020
Via Zoom

For over 10 years, SFCAHT’s agencies, organizations, and individual members have been partnering in addressing the vulnerabilities to human trafficking, in fighting the criminal market, and assisting the survivors. The COVID-19 health and economic crisis deepens these vulnerabilities and poses new challenges to the work on protecting and serving the survivors. There could not be a more important time for us to sustain our collaborative efforts, learn from each other’s experience, and increase the support for those in need.

On May 15, we discussed how law enforcement agencies and service providers continue to fight human trafficking and assist the survivors during the challenging times of global pandemic and shelter-in-place policies. The discussion was followed by a planning session of SFCAHT's activities for the rest of 2020.

General Meeting
SFCAHT

March 3, 2020

We continue to learn how other countries combat human trafficking, support the survivors, and address the demand for services of trafficked individuals. In January, we presented the anti-trafficking models of Mexico, Germany and Israel. At this general meeting, we continued the series by presenting the anti-trafficking model of Sweden. Sweden’s Ambassador-At-Large for Combating Trafficking in Persons Per-Anders Sunesson, presented Addressing Demand as a Method to Combat Human Trafficking for Sexual Exploitation: The Swedish approach, facts, and results. The presentation was followed by Q&A and a planning session of our work for the rest of 2020.
